The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is a five-year action and implementation plan designed to enhance student learning and further strengthen Bishop State’s educational mission. The QEP is required by The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), the regional body for the accreditation of degree-granting higher education institutions in the Southern States.

The QEP for 20109-220 is our New Student Orientation, The Wildcat Way, which is designed to help you navigate your transition into college – both academically and socially. The Wildcat Way provides crucial information, offers tips and strategies to help you succeed in your coursework, and prepares you for success in your college career. Who is Required to Take ORI101?

  • If you are a FTS in the academic year 2015-2016 with General Education as your major (AA and AS degree plans and ASL) and you placed on two or more developmental courses you are required to take ORI101.
  • If you are a FTS in the academic year 2015-2016 and a recipient of an Institutional Scholarship, you are required to take ORI101.
  • Note: Students not required to enroll in ORI101 are transient students and high school students enrolled in dual enrollment courses.
