2020-2021 Emergency Action All Campuses - Roofing Projects
Action Taken and Reasoning - The Governor of Alabama declared emergencies related to Hurricanes Sally and Zeta in 2020. Insurance companies reviewed the damages to multiple roofs across all campuses and identified numerous significant roof replacement projects as a result of the hurricane damage. Repair quotes obtained from more than one vendor. Temp repairs enacted until lowest responsible vendors could complete permanent repair work. Time and circumstance did not allow for normal design/engineering/bidding process.
