2023-2024 Cost of Attendance

Tuition and fees may be paid by debit card, cash, money order, cashier’s check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Tuition for Online and Hybrid courses follows the same fee schedule above. ALL TUITION AND FEES MUST BE PAID IN FULL PRIOR TO THE FIRST DAY OF CLASSES. Schedules with unpaid balances will be deleted prior to the first day of classes. All tuition and fees are due at the time credit hours are added. Schedules will be deleted if added charges are not paid in full at the time of drop/add registration.
NOTE: Out-of-state tuition is 2.0 times the in-state tuition rate.

Out-of-State Tuition

Any applicant for admission who does not meet the residency requirements shall be charged tuition at 2.00 times the in-state tuition rate, rounded up to the nearest dollar.

  • *Updated March 2020 – Students who reside in the following Florida counties: Escambia, and Santa Rosa as well as the following Mississippi counties: George, Greene, Harrison, Jackson, Perry, Stone, are eligible to pay in-state tuition rates at Bishop State.

Senior Adult Scholarships

Bishop State offers a free tuition-only scholarship program to area residents, sixty (60) years of age and older, who meet admission requirements. Books and fees are not included. Registration is based on available space per class. The scholarship pays up to four (4) credit hours per semester. Update March 30, 2023:
On May 11, 2022, the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees authorized an annual adjustment of the tuition rate for community and technical colleges of $2 per credit hour beginning with the Fall 2022 semester. The approved increase for the per credit hour tuition rate will increase from $125 to $127, beginning Fall 2023 {in the 2023-2024 Academic Year}.
