May 12, 2011 by Renee Busby, Press-Register MOBILE, Alabama – Crystal Gable won’t have to worry about looking for a job after graduating from Bishop State Community College. She had the job before she walked across the stage Wednesday night to receive her Associate in Applied Science degree. Gable was one of 261 students who received degrees and certificates during Bishop State’s commencement at the Mobile Civic Center. She also was recipient of The President’s Outstanding Student Award, given annually to a student in the graduating class who has earned a 3.5 grade-point average or better and has exemplified the characteristics of a well-rounded student in the categories of honor achievements, extracurricular activities and citizenship. "I came to Bishop looking for a career change and some positive tools to get me into the workforce," said Gable before the commencement.
