Bethune-Cookman University Concert Chorale is bringing its 2018 Spring Tour to Bishop State! The tour is March 10-18, 2018, with stops in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. The chorale will be on the campus of Bishop State Community College Wednesday, March 14 to perform some of its concert pieces as well as to interact with students. The concert will take place at 9 a.m. in the Delchamps Student Life Center Theater and is free to all students. Following the concert, there will be auditions for any student interested in becoming a member of the Bethune-Cookman Concert Chorale. To audition, you are asked bring your most recent transcript and ACT/SAT scores. Students should also prepare to perform:
  1. Two contrasting compositions (Aria, Art song and Spiritual)
  2. A vocalization
  3. Sight reading

ALL of the students in the Bethune-Cookman University Concert Chorale are on scholarship. Both music majors and non-music majors are members of the chorale. The Concert Chorale Spring Tour will also make stops in Jacksonville, Fla.; Huntsville, Birmingham and Selma, Ala.; Moss Point, Miss.; and Baton Rouge and New Orleans, La. Bishop State is honored to be a part of the Bethune-Cookman University Concert Chorale 2018 Spring Tour and is excited about the opportunities being provided through the university to our students.
