Bishop State, the Federal Highway Administration, and the Alabama Department of Transportation are collaborating to provide the Heavy Highway Construction Training program.

This six-month pilot program will provide students an opportunity to work Monday – Thursday with local construction companies in the Mobile and Baldwin County area. In the morning, roughly from 7 a.m. to Noon, students will earn paid, on-the-job training and in the afternoon, from 1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m., students will come to the Bishop State Southwest Campus to learn more about heavy highway construction from instructors who have worked in this specific industry.
