Marine Electricians use various tools and equipment to install/repair fixtures, run wires, and restore/connect power to every facet of a ship.


Other duties include blueprint reading, proper usage of testing equipment, troubleshooting equipment, and following specifications. No cost to students.


The ten-week training program is designed to provide entry-level employment with local Ship Builders.


Training Includes:

  • Safety
  • Rule Reading
  • Cable, Wire Way
  • Ship Orientation
  • Hands-On Training
  • Hands-On Projects
  • Practical Application


Requirements to Enter Program:

  • Minimum age of 18
  • TABE Test required upon enrollment
  • Must be willing and able to pass a drug test

Class Offerings
