Bishop State Community College officials held a heartfelt tribute to their late president, Yvonne Kennedy, with a dedication ceremony on Friday afternoon at the newly-renamed Yvonne Kennedy Business Technology Center.
A large crowd gathered in the center’s auditorium on Bishop State’s main campus at the corner of North Broad Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. for the ceremony.
Many in attendance were members of Mobile Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Kennedy was the 19th national president of the sorority and a member for 48 years.
