Mobile, AL - Bishop State Community College held its summer commencement ceremony on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 6:00 pm. The event was held at the Baker-Gaines Central Campus in the Yvonne Kennedy Auditorium. There were approximately 211 graduates.

William B. Sisson, President and CEO of the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, served as the commencement speaker. He shared words of encouragement and told students about future career opportunities available in Mobile, AL. Sisson stressed that there are a number of job opportunities in Mobile due to the growing aviation and maritime industries. He focused on the importance of having a skilled workforce in place to fill new the jobs as they become available. Sisson told the graduates to “work hard, be kind to others, and keep the faith.”
