What is Automotive Technology?

The Automotive Technology program offers modernized training that equips students with the skills needed to become entry-level automotive service and maintenance technicians. The curriculum covers various aspects of automotive mechanics, from basic scientific principles to advanced diagnostic procedures.

Students learn to use state-of-the-art equipment to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, including electrical components and electronics, engine performance and repair, brakes, steering and suspension, automatic and manual transmissions, and air conditioning/heating systems.

Emphasis is also placed on teamwork, problem-solving, proper and special tool usage, good work habits, strict safety standards, and effective customer relations.
