Bishop State Community College's Phi Theta Kappa members win big at 2018 Alabama Regional Convention.
MOBILE, Ala., (March 12, 2018) – The Bishop State Community College Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) honor society won several state Hallmark Awards awarded during the 2018 Alabama Regional Convention on March 3, 2018 in Enterprise, Alabama. The Alpha Epsilon Nu Chapter received the following recognition:
  1. Hallmark Award Honor in Action Distinguished Theme 2018. This year’s theme: Beauty & Vulgarity
  2. Alabama Region Five-Star Level Chapter Plan Award - This is awarded to all chapters that meet or exceed all participation requirements.
  3. Bishop State PTK advisor Dr. Victoria Perry won the Continued Excellence Distinguished Advisor Award. This award is given to PTK advisers who make significant contributions to the growth of the individual members. They also serve as the chapter’s advocate on campus and encourages the chapter to be involved in the local, regional and/or international levels of the organization.
  4. Bishop State’s PTK honor society received its Five-Star Competitive Edge certification. The certification is an online professional development plan designed just for the members to practice and strengthen their soft skills.
