Students gather for picture at Thurgood Marshall College Fund Workforce Summit

MOBILE, Ala., December 13, 2025
– Fourteen Bishop State Community College students have been awarded scholarships totaling $44,000 from the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF). Four of those scholarships were awarded during the Workforce Development and Leadership Summit in Birmingham, Alabama. The three-day event brought together students from across the country for professional development sessions, networking opportunities, and career pathways exploration.

In addition to participating in workshops designed to enhance leadership and workforce readiness, Bishop State students connected with representatives from major companies and explored internship and employment opportunities. Their hard work paid off, literally, with scholarships that will help them continue their education and prepare for future careers.
