Welcome to the new STEM Pathway

We’re thrilled to launch our first cohort in Fall 2025 — a select group of 15 motivated students ready to pursue academic transfer to four-year institutions in Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medicine, or Pre-Pharmacy. This program is designed for first-time, first-semester freshmen, helping students map their progress easily and build a strong academic foundation. We are also integrating additional ways to enter this pathway, i.e., dual enrollment and career and technical education students.


Who Should Apply?

  • High school seniors and juniors
  • Dual-enrollment (DE) students
  • Career and Technical Education (CTE) students
  • Students interested in transferring to a 4-year institution as a Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical, or Pre-Pharmacy major


Registration & Advising Criteria

Applicants should meet the following:

  1. Minimum high school GPA of 2.75
  2. Interest in Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical, or Pre-Pharmacy
  3. Clearly stated 4-year transfer institutions of interest
  4. Prior science coursework and involvement in academic activities


Selected students will:

  • Be invited to a summer informational session
  • Receive a personalized student degree plan
  • Be enrolled in the A.S. in General Studies Degree Plan
  • Participate in a campus tour with their parents
  • Transition into their specific STEM pathway after the first year
  • Receive continuous advising and support through graduation

  • Support and encouragement for students to join or launch STEM clubs and organizations
  • Ongoing tracking of student success, retention, GPA, and transfer rates
