Bishop State Community College is proud to celebrate Gabriella Perkins, a dual enrollment student from Mary G. Montgomery High School, for earning the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3) 1,000,000th certification — marking a historic milestone in workforce education and industry-recognized training nationwide.

Gabriella is enrolled in Aviation Manufacturing at the Faulkner Career Tech Center, where she studies under instructor Dwayne Bowers. Through Bishop State’s dual enrollment partnership, she’s gaining hands-on experience and certifications that prepare her for high-demand careers in advanced manufacturing.

Bishop State President Olivier Charles said this milestone reflects the college’s goal of preparing students for the workforce and building pathways to success.

“We are incredibly proud of Gabriella and the educators who helped her reach this achievement,” said President Charles. “Her accomplishment represents the excellence of our dual enrollment and workforce training programs, where students gain real-world skills that translate directly into career opportunities. This is exactly the kind of success story that shows the impact of Bishop State in our community.”

The NC3 One Million Certifications milestone represents a global movement:

  • Over 450,000 students have earned industry-recognized credentials
  • More than 10,000 instructors have been trained to deliver high-quality, hands-on education
  • And 2,100+ organizations across six countries now issue NC3 certifications

Bishop State’s ongoing commitment to workforce readiness continues to empower students like Gabriella to earn valuable credentials, strengthen their skills, and enter the workforce job-ready.

Congratulations, Gabriella, on this remarkable accomplishment and for representing Bishop State on a national stage!
