Meet the Coaches

Bishop State Community College is growing its athletics department by adding a women’s volleyball program beginning Fall 2021. Nicole Keshock has been named the head coach of the college’s first-ever volleyball team. The formal announcement was made at a press conference on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.

"I am truly honored to be chosen as the first-ever volleyball coach for Bishop State,” says Keshock. “The vision of Dr. Sykes and Coach Eager for this program and Bishop State is a privilege to be a part of.”

Keshock began her college coaching career over 25 years ago after completing her undergraduate degree and playing career at Bowling Green State University. She has coached at Heidelberg College, the University of Findlay, Eastern Michigan University, University of West Florida, and the University of South Alabama.

“We are excited to have Coach Keshock join the Wildcat family,” says Bishop State President Dr. Sykes. “Her experience and knowledge of volleyball is exactly what Bishop State needs as we launch this new athletics program. We look forward to a successful recruiting and playing season.”

In addition to coaching at the collegiate level, Coach Keshock has many years of experience coaching at the youth levels and started her own youth volleyball club, Mobile Storm Volleyball Club, in 2006.

“The first and most important task of getting this program started in the right direction, is recruiting,” says Keshock. “I'm excited about the talent level in our area and state and I look forward to bringing them to Bishop State!”

Coach Keshock received her Undergraduate Degree (Communications) and Master’s Degree from Bowling Green State University in Sport Management. She and her husband, Chris, have three children. Kayla (19), who is a freshman on the volleyball team at Samford University, Cameron (17) and Corbin (9).
