Alabama Power is partnering with the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) to host a Blacks in Energy Awareness Month (BEAM) event for students across the Mobile County Public School system. About 100 students will attend the event on Wednesday, October 30 at Bishop State Community College Southwest Campus at 925 Dauphin Island Parkway. Students will learn more about careers in energy, find out about scholarship opportunities available through the American Association of Blacks in Energy and learn about the pre-apprentice lineworker training program offered at Bishop State.
