Featuring guest speaker the honorable Vivian Figures - Alabama State Senate, District 33

Mobile, Alabama – Bishop State Community College held graduation for its 2015 graduating class Thursday, May 7th at 6:00 PM in the Mobile Civic Center.

Bishop State is proud of its more than 330 graduates representing more than 40 different areas of general education and professional training offered at Bishop State’s four campuses throughout Mobile.

The commencement address was given by the honorable Vivian Figures – Alabama State Senate, District 33. Dr. Latitia McCane, Dean of Instructional Services, presented graduates with Associate Degrees in Arts, Science and Applied Science. Dr. Kathy Thompson, Dean of Technical Education and Workforce Development, presented Associate Degrees in Occupational Technologies and Certificates. There were more than 330 graduates at this year’s ceremony. Special guests at this year’s ceremony were alumni members of the 1965 graduating class of Bishop State.

Bishop State Community College is a state-supported, open-admission, urban community college located in Mobile, Alabama. The College consists of four city campuses, dedicated to serving the residents of Mobile and Washington counties in southwest Alabama. The College is part of the Alabama Community College System, the state-supported network of two-year community, and technical colleges that serves the residents of Alabama.
