Celebrating 'a milestone': State, education officials praise dual enrollment scholarship program

The state’s new career technical dual enrollment scholarship program will greatly expand training options for students, and should have a significant effect on building the region’s workforce, officials said Thursday at a media conference at the Alabama Industrial Development Training center.
Officials from Bishop State Community College and Austal USA also announced a partnership – a five-week pre-employment program – as part of the initiative.
