Workforce Development

As the non-credit side of the College, the Division of Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning plays an integral role as an economic and workforce development resource tool by providing Southwest Alabama with career and workforce development, custom designed training initiatives and continuing education (lifelong learning). Through the organizational units comprising the Division, Bishop State Community College is fulfilling the vision, misson, goals and objectives of the Alabama College System and Postsecondary Education. The Division extends the resources of Bishop State beyond traditional boundaries to diverse populations, utilizing the latest innovative technologies. The Division strives to present solutions to the training/workforce development needs of the community at large and respond to the growing and rapidly changing needs of industry for a career-ready workforce.
