Bishop State Community College Adult Education Director Akareem Spears was recently inducted in the Mobile Bay magazine's Top 40 Under 40 Class. Top 40 Under 40 is a program that recognizes 40 of the top individuals younger than age 40 who demonstrate leadership, professional excellence and a commitment to the Bay area community. Spears was among 200 nominations and was selected by a panel of independent judges. He was honored along with 39 other winners during an awards luncheon on Nov. 17 at the Battle House Hotel.
