History Student Attends Multiculturalisn Convention

December 2, 2008 – Inara Selete, a Bishop State Community College history student, recently attended the 93rd Annual Convention of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) in Birmingham, Ala. ASALH's scholarship covered the student's registration and living accommodations. The convention's theme was "Carter G. Woodson and the origins of Multiculturalism." Selete was accompanied by Bishop State history instructor, Caesar Smith.
