Department of Early Childhood Education (Main Campus)

Students enrolled in the Division of Education Program can earn an Associate of Science or an Associate of Arts degree in General Education. The credit earned can be transferred to a four-year college or university. Students may also participate in the career and certificate programs that allow students to secure gainful employment.

The Division of Education also offers a certificate in Early Childhood Education. The Early Childhood Education program is designed to provide the academic background and practical work experiences necessary for successful care and guidance. The associate degree program requires completion of 63 semester hours. The Early Childhood Education certificate program is designed to give students a practical, working knowledge of basic child development principles that will assist them in the everyday planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate activities and environments for young children. All courses in the certificate program may apply toward the Associate in Applied Science degree.
