About Online Courses

Bishop State Community College is a state-supported, open admission, comprehensive, urban community college located in Mobile, Alabama. The College consists of four city campuses – Main, Baker-Gaines Central, Southwest and Carver – dedicated to serving the residents of Mobile and Washington counties in Southwest Alabama.

Bishop State Community College believes education is essential to the economic, social, environmental and political well-being of the individual, the community and the state. Through either the College's Technical or Academic Schools the student is given a wide selection of courses, certificates and associate degree programs in the areas of technical, vocational and career education. Examples of offerings available include allied health programs, computer information systems courses, process and instrumentation technology, manufacturing technology and numerous humanities, social sciences, mathematics and business courses. Through its Division of Adult Education and Economic Development, the College supports lifelong learning and the civic, social and cultural quality of life. The division utilizes the latest in information technology and telecommunications technology to provide support to all areas of the College in delivering their offerings and services via the latest in information technology.

Credit for online courses apply toward associate and certificate degrees.
