Please read the instructions below before you login to BORIS!

BORIS is available MONDAY through SATURDAY from 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM Central time.

You may make payments online using Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover Card. No other cards are accepted at this time via online payment.

*** Note that You MUST be authorized by an advisor before you can register online!

If you are a transient student and you want to register online, please contact Admissions to be authorized at admiss@bishop.edu.

You may now DROP and ADD classes ONLINE after you have paid for or receipted your charges! Beat the registration lines!

Your PIN for the BORIS system is your 6-digit numeric birth date (MMDDYY). For example, if your birthday is May 12, 1983, your PIN will be 051283. If you have any questions or problems with your PIN, just e-mail your name and your student number (or the last 4 digits of your social security number) to info@bishop.edu.

After you log in, we strongly suggest that you change your PIN!

We recommend that you use Internet Explorer version 5.5 or higher or Mozilla Firefox as your web browser. The Bishop State Student Handbook and General Catalog can be downloaded here.

BORIS ONLINE REGISTRATION STEPS

STEP 1
Go to the Bishop State Home Page (www.bishop.edu)

Click Log In To BORIS - NOTE: Due to high network traffic, it may take a few seconds to bring up the LOGIN screen. Please wait or try again later.

STEP 2
At the BORIS Login Page - At the User ID prompt, enter your STUDENT NUMBER (or your Social Security number, no spaces, slashes, or dashes).

At the PIN prompt, enter your PIN. NOTE: The PIN (personal identification number) is a 6 digit number (details above). Do NOT share your PIN with anyone. We strongly advise that you change your PIN as soon as possible if you haven't already. Click LOGIN (to continue) or CANCEL (to leave)

STEP 3
At the Main Menu Page - Click REGISTER FOR CLASSES. If you see the message Unable to register, please see advisor, that means that you have not been authorized to register online. Please see your advisor, or if you don't know who your advisor is, contact the BSCC Helpdesk at info@bishop.edu. (NOTE: This option may be disabled or may not appear if registration has not started.)

(NOTE: If you are currently on a processing hold, you may not be allowed to register, check grades, or obtain a copy of your transcript until the hold is cleared.)

STEP 4
At the Registration Page - To ADD a course to your schedule:
Click on ADD in the pull down box. Type in the course call number as printed in the Bishop State Course Schedule. (NOTE: If you do not want to type in each call number, you can use the SELECT COURSE button to search the current course schedule. Once you find the course you want to take, you can click the PUSH button beside the course and it will automatically insert course call number for you.) Click the SUBMIT button and this will add it to your listing.

To view your listing scroll to the bottom of the page.

To DROP a course from your schedule: (This takes away any course that you previously added.) Click on DROP in the pull down box.
Type in the course call number as printed in the Bishop State Course Schedule. (NOTE: If you do not want to type in each call number, you can use the SELECT COURSE button to search the current course schedule. Once you find the course you want to take, you can click the PUSH button beside the course and it will automatically insert course call number for you.) Click the SUBMIT button and this will drop the course from your listing.
To view your listing scroll to the bottom of the page.

Continue the process of adding courses (or dropping them) until your schedule is complete.

(NOTE: You have NOT been added to the class roll until the COMPLETE REGISTRATION button is pressed!)

To save changes or finalize your registration, click the COMPLETE REGISTRATION button.
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!

You will now see a screen that provides information related to the tuition amounts that you are to pay for the schedule you have chosen. Available Financial Aid coverage will also be displayed on the screen.

(NOTE: To complete the entire registration process, you must pay the amount in the CASH DUE column. Failure to pay your tuition on time may result in removal from class.)

STEP 5
Paying Your Tuition - If you are satisfied with your schedule and are ready to pay your tuition and fees, choose one of two payment options:

1. Pay on-line using your Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover Card (and/or receipt your charges to your Financial Aid). Click the "COMPLETE REGISTRATION" button and complete the credit/debit card information form and follow directions as presented on the web.

2. Log out of the BORIS system and pay in person during regular office hours at the Main, Central, Carver, or Southwest campus Business Office by cash, cashier's check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. To ensure complete registration, full payment must be received. Bishop State does not accept personal checks. Your schedule may be deleted if you do not pay your charges.

You cannot pay your tuition and fees by mail!
