The Early Childhood Education Program is designed to prepare students for a practical working knowledge of child development principals that will assist them in the daily planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate activities and environments for young children. All of the courses in the certificate program may also apply towards the Associate in Applied Science degree.

The Early Childhood Education Program provides the education component for the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential awarded by the Council for Professional Recognition. Courses are applied to the Early Childhood Education degree program.
