In The Event Of An Emergency
Bishop State Community College has an emergency alert and notification system known as the Wildcat Alert System. The Wildcat Alert System delivers rapid, multi-platform messages to students, faculty members and staff in the event of an emergency. This will be your best source for timely information and instructions on what to do in the event of any campus emergency.
Sign up for Wildcat Alert voice and text messages?
All Bishop State students, faculty and staff who have a valid ID are able to sign up to receive text and voice message alerts.

College Closing Policy
In the event of inclement weather, mechanical or power failure, or other emergencies, the following procedures will be implemented. The Wildcat Alert and the telephone update line will be activated (251) 432-7812 to call for periodic updates on the status of closings and openings in the event of an emergency.
When weather conditions prevent the opening of the College or cause a delayed opening of the College, every effort will be made to make announcements via Wildcat Alert, campus e-mail, on the Bishop State Web site homepage and on the local radio and TV stations.
Note: Cancellation of day classes does not necessarily imply that evening classes will be canceled. The decision to suspend evening classes will be announced within a reasonable time.
